About the Opportunities
Due to ongoing expansion, AAMC currently has new and exciting opportunities for multiple Motor Loss Assessors to join their teams in Canberra - ACT, Darwin - NT, and Albury - VIC. As the business is in a period of extensive growth, AAMC are also seeking further expressions of interest for applicants located in any state, Australia-wide.
Working from your home office, the Motor Loss Assessor is responsible for conducting and preparing Assessment Reports on motor vehicle and machinery loss assessments as direct by AAMC.
More specifically, the duties of this role will include (but may not limited to):
- Efficiently conducting on road or desktop motor loss assessments;
- Preparation and submission of repair and total loss reports in compliance with legislation;
- Completion of Written Off Vehicle Reports and salvage instructions as required;
- Contact vehicle repairers, vehicle owners and insurance companies to ensure completion of job;
- Conduct follow ups, including re-inspections and checks; and
- Developing professional relationships with vehicle repairers throughout the region.
About You
To be successful in the Motor Loss Assessor position, you must possess trade qualifications in Panel Beating or Spray Painting. You'll have either 3-5 years’ experience as an Assessor at an Insurance company or Managerial experience within a panel shop or similar business ensuring solid experience with motor vehicle insurance and claims procedures. A proven ability to write reports on motor vehicle loss assessments, and/or articulate communication skills and the capability to work independently and autonomously from your home office will be key to your high performance in this role.
AAMC are seeking applications from motivated, professional individuals who can use their initiative to effectively problem-solve. You'll consider yourself an effective multitasker, and be able to prioritise shifting workloads to ensure tasks are completed by deadline. Importantly, you'll bring to the role a calm and level-headed attitude, enabling you to make decisions when unsupervised.
Some interstate travel may be required for this position.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook are essential to be successful in this role, and skills in Estimage, AutoIntegrity and One Note would be highly considered (but are not mandatory).
