About the Opportunity
Becon Constructions has an exciting opportunity for a driven Senior Estimator to join their dynamic team in Hallam, Melbourne. Working closely in a team of three other estimators, you will collaborate to produce accurate project estimates for some of Melbourne’s most reputable clients, handling projects valued between $1 and $30 million.
Some of your day to day responsibilities may include;
- Producing final tender submissions, ensuring accuracy and profitability;
- Handling all project take offs, ensuring they run smoothly and overseeing them from start to finish; and
- Working closely with the Business Development Manager and the Construction Team in order to ensure best possible coverage for all facets of project production.
This incredible opportunity allows you to work on flagship projects in a number of industries, including retail, aged care, education, institution, commercial and residential. You’ll often meet and liaise with clients in order to discuss and explain project details in depth, allowing you to be involved in many sides of the project production process.
This position requires a high level of accuracy, and as such, you will be detail-oriented and articulate, with a real passion for delivering consistent, high quality work. Becon Constructions is searching for an even-tempered, mature and vibrant professional who is relaxed and committed to getting the job done.
As this is a senior role, extensive experience in estimating, tender writing and post tender negotiations is vital for success in this role. Whilst it is not necessary, candidates with experience using software such as BuildSoft or similar would be highly regarded.
