Fone Dynamics is dedicated to revolutionising business communications through building new and transformative technologies, and provides state-of-the-art call attribution technologies. Our software provides call tracking and analytics, arming marketers with the ability to understand what motivates calls, link their marketing to their revenue, and ultimately create better marketing campaigns.
Our software stack is as diverse as it is interesting to work on. Our core is built in C# and we make groovy use of deferred execution LINQ. Our front-end is almost purely rendered by JavaScript, and we’re planning an interesting port to GWT. We push and pull data from our .NET codebase to and from our Linux servers which route calls and provide interactive voice menus to our clients. Speaking of call routing, we’re soon planning a rewrite of our call routing engine that will enable our next-generation, globally-available offering. And, on top of that, we connect with some of marketers’ favourite tools, including Google AdWords and Google Analytics, and we have many new connectors in the pipeline.

About the Opportunity
Fone Dynamics has an exciting opportunity for a Software Developer to join our team in Brisbane CBD, on a full-time basis.
As a developer, you’ll be building comprehensive backend software and frontend UX experiences, in order to provide clients with call tracking and analytics software that will arm them with the data needed to improve their marketing campaigns. As you progress, there will be opportunities to work on our highly-available call routing systems and software.
What you’ll be doing:
- Working with vendors to create integrations for a wide variety of third-party platforms;
- Building and enhancing both server-side web tracking software and the accompanying client-side JavaScript;
- Applying a number of algorithms to analyse and match data;
- Designing and developing front-end configuration and data visualisation user experiences; and
- Creating internal tools to improve account management and service delivery.
Fone Dynamics is looking for someone who:
- Is an expert in C#;
- Has a few years’ experience working with complex JavaScript systems under their belt;
- Understands how HTML/CSS and HTTP, SOAP, DOM, and cookies work;
- Is confident in Microsoft SQL Server;
- Is innovative and creative, constantly looking for new ways to solve problems;
- Has incredible attention to detail, with real pride in their work; and
- Is driven to constantly tackle new challenges, with a hunger to expand their knowledge and skillset.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Tertiary qualifications in either computer science or engineering;
- Practical mathematics and statistical analysis skills;
- Some experience in Linux environments;
- Some experience with PHP and shell scripting; and
- The ability to swiftly pick up new programming languages.
