Royal Freemasons' Benevolent Institution (RFBI) provides retirement accommodation and lifestyle care facilities in village communities around NSW and the ACT. Today there are 22 RFBI villages.
Concord Community Hostel is a residential care village located on the foreshore of Rhodes, Sydney, conveniently close to the Rhodes shopping centre and train station. It’s dedicated and friendly staff are devoted to creating a supportive and caring environment. The Hostel accommodates 62 residents, that includes a 22-bed dementia care wing.
About the Opportunity
RFBI have a highly rewarding opportunity for an Aged Care Clinical Manager (Registered Nurse) to join their friendly team in Rhodes, Sydney, on a full-time basis.
Working alongside the General Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership and management to staff, in order to ensure a high level of care is provided to residents within the facility.
Your duties will include:
- Ensuring each residents’ needs and preferences are identified through a comprehensive assessment and care-planning process;
- Providing effective staff management including staff-training, support and mentoring of staff, and conducting performance reviews; and
- Providing nursing care to residents as needed.
The ideal candidate will be a tertiary qualified registered nurse with current registration with AHPRA. You will have clinical and management experience within a residential aged care setting.
You will be experienced working within the confines of a budget, with the ability to effectively lead and manage staff. Exceptional communication, time-management, and customer service skills, alongside experience working with people from a number of diverse backgrounds, is required.
Additionally, you will need to have a strong understanding of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards and the Aged Care Funding Instrument.
Please note: You must be willing to undergo a National Police Check prior to commencing employment with RFBI Concord Community Hostel.
