About the Opportunity
Sheen Group have anopportunity for a Workshop Manager to join their team in Fenrtree Gully, on a full-time basis. Additionally, there are opportunities for Assistant Workshop Managers to join teams in Morwell and Hawthorn, on a full-time basis.
As a Workshop Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing a team of five to ten staff, whilst overseeing and managing all operational aspects of the panel beating workshop you join. Additionally, the Assistant Manager will be responsible for providing a high level of support to the Workshop Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient management of the workshop.
The key responsibilities and duties for these tasks will be:
- Monitoring and managing staff workload and performance;
- Providing quotes for vehicle repairs;
- Liaising and negotiating with insurance agencies;
- Ordering parts for vehicles; and
- Managing the provision of high quality customer service by staff.
To be considered for the Workshop Manager position, you’ll be either a trade qualified spray painter or panel beater, and have industry experience in a management position, with the ability to effectively manage all operations within a panel beating workshop. You’ll have effective staff management skills alongside well-developed communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with staff, customers, and insurance agencies.
To be considered for the Assistant Manager role, you’ll ideally be a trade qualified and experienced panel beater or spray painter, who is looking to step up and advance their career. You’ll be a fast learner, with the initiative to take on further responsibility to ensure efficient management of the workshop is maintained.
Both candidates will need to have exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to meet and exceed set sales targets.
