Australian Container Unloading Group (ACUG) is one of the largest national shipping container unloading companies and is a leader in the industry. The company provides its services to a variety of well known local and national clients’ in their warehousing and transport sites.

The Brisbane branch is in a major growth period and is taking expressions of interest from people keen to commence a career in the logistics sector.
About the Opportunity
ACUG are offering HUGE opportunities, with multiple traineeship positions to individuals wanting to build a career path in logistics. Your main duties in this position will involve working well in a team and operating forklifts to unload, stack and wrap product from shipping containers.
Your duties will include:
- Manually unloading and loading products onto pallets;
- Using shrink wrap to manually wrap palletised goods; and
- Occasional operation of forklift machinery (once licensed).
No prior experience or qualifications are required to join ACUG in this position – all they ask is that you’re able to keep up with the physical demands of the role, as you’ll be repeatedly lifting up 10 - 25kg throughout the day. Additionally, you'll be well presented and committed to representing ACUG in a professional manner.
You’ll be able to think on your feet, paying close attention to your work and communicating well with your crew members, to ensure there are no mistakes. As someone with a lot of initiative, who is reliable and ready to say yes to work when it’s offered, you will be committed to finishing what you start, within required time frames. As the company operates on a ‘pay per container’ rate, the harder you work, the more you’ll earn.
You will be working across a variety of sites throughout Brisbane’s North and South sides and as such, will need a current driver’s licence and your own reliable transport.
As these are traineeship opportunities, ACUG strongly encourage those with little or no experience and/or qualifications to apply.
