About the Opportunities

Rork Projects have a number of exciting opportunities for Senior Project Managers to join their CBD-based teams in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne on a full-time basis.
 
Reporting to the General Manager in each respective state, you’ll be responsible for the safe, timely and profitable delivery of all assigned projects from commencement through to completion.
 
Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing projects from initial brief through to handover
  • Managing Site Managers and ensuring quality of build on each and every project
  • Mentoring Junior Project Managers
  • Inputting and updating cost control systems, budgets, forecast costs etc.
  • Developing, maintaining and evaluating project programmes
  • Assisting Estimators and participating in tender submissions
  • Evaluating and implementing process, margin and quality improvements and
  • Developing and nurturing strong positive relationships with all project stakeholders.

Rork Projects are seeking candidates who have demonstrated interior fit-out and building refurbishment project management experience delivering projects up to $15 million. Candidates who have experience delivering "green field" construction projects within the regions they’re applying for will be considered favourably.  

In addition, the ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, experience and personal attributes:

  • Minimum of a Diploma in Project Management, trade qualification or relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a "contractor side" Project Manager
  • Strong understanding of contract administration and financial control, (experience with "Muli" accounting package is a distinct advantage)
  • Strong computer literacy with the ability to use all programs within the Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project
  • Excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of initiative and
  • Team player with astute problem solving skills.
