About the Opportunity
The weighbridge is the contact point for all incoming and outgoing trucks. It is a bustling and dynamic environment essential to the safe movement of customers and suppliers into and out of the site. There is no such thing as an average day.
In this full-time role, you will operate a computerised weighbridge dispatch system to control incoming deliveries of concrete and outgoing sales of recycled aggregates and road base products. You will liaise with the customer service centre, the production plant and truck drivers to ensure customer orders are filled and dispatched on time. You will use the two-way radio to communicate with earthmoving machines to ensure the correct products are loaded onto customer trucks. You will also manage cash and credit card sales.
We offer an hourly rate of $25.12 plus $20.40 per day travel allowance and overtime. Income Protection is also offered as part of your employment. Hours are 6.30 am to 4.30pm Monday - Friday. A half-day Saturday work is usually required.
Previous weighbridge experience will be highly regarded. However, if you’ve worked in any fast-paced, face-to-face customer service environment like McDonald's or a petrol station you’ll probably pick this up. Customer service, communication and IT skills are essential. Experience with logistics and dispatch will be highly relevant.
