About the Opportunity

Cambridge Management Services is looking for suitably qualified and passionate Assistant Building Managers to join their dedicated team in Sydney or the NSW Central Coast, on a full time basis. These roles are available for an immediate start. 

Reporting to the on-site Building Manager, the Assistant Building Manager is primarily responsible for providing effective and efficient administrative support to the Building Managers (BM), Senior Facilities Manager (SFM) and Strata Manager (SM), ensuring smooth operation of the property/properties under their control.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Being the second point of contact for owners, residents and suppliers (after the Building Manager) and the first point of contact on weekends;
  • Meeting and greeting customers, ensure contact information is accurate and updated in Building Link or any other electronic program;
  • Issuing keys and passes to contractors when necessary, ensuring that appropriate recording and logging of keys as well as following up on the return of those keys in a timely manner;
  • Follow up on ongoing facilities issues daily recording comments in the system through to completion;
  • Keeping an accurate and current trade list (including contact information) for each building; and
  • Providing documentary evidence of work orders and issued notifications to trades, for performance management purposes;

Cambridge Management Services is looking for an energetic people person who is able to maintain a professional demeanor at all times, and communicate clearly and accurately (written and verbal), with all customers, including owners, tenants, trades and suppliers. 

You will need keen organisational skills, the ability to work without supervision, and the willingness to learn the operations of a high-rise residential building. A reasonable level of computer literacy is also essential to ensure your success in this position, while an understanding of working with large scale facility repairs would be advantageous.

Please note: The hours for this role are Wednesday-Sunday 7.30am-4.30pm, so the successful candidate must be willing and able to work within these times.
