About the Opportunity

Due to continued growth, Treidlia Biovet is now seeking a Veterinary Officer to join their team in Sydney. This is a permanent, full-time role working roughly 38 hours per week (flexible hours between 8am - 6pm).

Reporting to the Director, your key responsibility will be to provide veterinary field advisory services to hobby animal breeders and intensive livestock farms. Dependent upon your interests and experience, the role could be orientated to focus mainly on hobby animal breeders, commercial farms, or a combination of both - you'll get to choose what your career will look like! You'll also be responsible for providing technical support for vaccine products for the aquaculture, pig, poultry, sheep, cattle and rabbit industries.

To be considered, you'll need a degree in Veterinary Science, and be registered (or eligible for registry) in NSW. 

Due to the nature of the role, you'll be interested in avian and other hobby species, as well as the intensive livestock industries, including poultry and pigs. You'll have a desire to develop your laboratory skills, as you dip your toes into different areas of the business including microbiology, vaccines and laboratory diagnostics.

Treidlia Biovet is seeking a well-rounded and motivated individual for this position with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate confidently with individuals from all levels within the organisation. As a 'people person', you'll display excellent customer focus and excel in Treidlia Biovet's close-knit team environment.

Although this role would ideally suit an individual with prior veterinary experience, graduates are also encouraged to apply.

Please Note: This role involves significant travel across Sydney, and occasional travel through regional Australia and New Zealand.

In return for your hard work and dedication, you will enjoy an attractive remuneration circa AUD $60,000 to AUD $65,000 (graduate) or AUD $75,000 to AUD $90,000 (experienced). Please note, very experienced veterinarians may negotiate special arrangements in regards to remuneration. You'll also enjoy a laptop, phone and free parking. A vehicle may be negotiated for the right candidate.
