About the Opportunity.
Pukara Estate has a HUGE opportunity for an experienced National Sales Manager to join their office in Sydney.
Reporting to the Managing Directors, this is a hands on role that will see you responsible for growing sales and developing new opportunities within the Australian market, as well as overseas.
More specifically, your duties will include (but will not be limited to):
- Planning, managing, executing and expanding Pukara’s yearly National Sales Strategy;
- Maintaining and building existing customer relationships through regular contact via phone, email and in person;
- Leading and motivating the current and yet to be established sales teams;
- Achieving agreed territory sales targets and building exceptional rapport with customers;
- Educating customers on existing and new products to secure sales orders and grow the range within retail outlets;
- Researching new customer markets within designated territories and approach potential customers via cold calling visits in person and over the phone; and
- Managing financial sales budgets in line with business expectations.
This is a great opportunity to use your extensive sales management experience at a senior level to help drive performance within an already well established brand. You will display a well-developed business and commercial acumen which will allow you to plan and execute sales strategies successfully. Experience in the gourmet food and/or wine industry is not essential, however will be highly regarded.
It goes without saying that you'll be a proven leader who is driven to manage, motivate and develop the existing sales force and internal team. Leading by example, you'll display integrity, ethics, innovation and flexibility in your approach.
Combining your common sense and collaborative approach, you will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, including excellent negotiation skills and strategic ability. It is essential that you have the energy and enthusiasm to drive both the sales team and the business forward.
You will be dedicated to driving change to constantly improve sales within the business and will draw on your excellent entrepreneurial skills to do so.
