About the Opportunity.

Aurora Expeditions is looking to welcome a Marketing Assistant to our team in Surry Hills, NSW, on a full time basis.

Reporting to our Marketing Manager, this role will see you working across the company website, social media sites, publications and promotional material, and events. Joining a holistic marketing team, this role represents a rare opportunity to immerse yourself in the end-to-end process of marketing and learn about all aspects of the field.

Specific projects that you will be involved in include:

  • Become our Website Champion! You will ensure that all website content is up to date, provide creative input into new areas of the site to develop and with the help of our handy developers, maintain the health of the website;  
  • Managing social media sites to increase social media presence, writing content, scheduling posts, and reviewing audience responses;
  • Writing, proofreading, and editing content for publications and promotional materials, as well as producing passenger collateral such as trip notes and information documents; and
  • Organising, managing, and promoting events, consumer fairs, and trade shows as required.

About You.

As this role is heavily web based, we need a Digital Marketing superstar. An understanding of how Content Management Systems are used is a must, but don't worry, we will train you on ours. Experience with HTML and Google Analytics would be an advantage, however there will be training in this area for the successful candidate. Although not required, any experience with the Adobe Design Suite (ie Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver) will set you in good stead for liaising with our Graphic Designer.

Most importantly, you will be positive and motivated, with great attention to detail and strong organisational skills. As a member of our close-knit team, you will be excited to work with our products and services, with an interest in travel, conservation and environment, and the drive to continue learning.

Outside of the Marketing team, you will associate with all areas of the business, including the sales team, reservations, office, and operations. What we can offer you.

On joining Aurora Expeditions, you will be given a competitive base salary of $50,000 - $55,000 including super, negotiable with skills and experience.
