About the Opportunity
GGS Alice Glass and Aluminium is now looking for two full-time Glaziers to join their Manufacturing and Installation Team, based in Alice Springs, NT.
This role will see you assisting with the fabrication and installation of a commercial range of products supplied by the company.
More specifically, some of your key duties will include:
- Assisting with the installation and manufacture of aluminium windows and doors;
- Operating power tools, routers and hand tools as required, to support the current product range;
- Organising the packing and unpacking of glass and aluminium products as sourced and received from external suppliers; and
- Performing “on-site” installations of product and carrying out general repairs as directed.
What You'll Need
The successful candidate will be a trade qualified Glazier, with demonstrated glazing experience. Although not essential, any experience working with security doors and screens would be beneficial.
GGS Alice Glass and Aluminium is seeking applications from candidates with excellent problem solving skills and a professional approach to their work. You'll have a strong work ethic, along with a drive to succeed and a positive attitude.
Due to the nature of the role, candidates must be physically fit and able to manually handle glass and window / door systems. A construction industry white card is essential, as is a demonstrated ability to safely operate power and hand tools. Applicants must also have a current driver's licence and their own tools.

The successful applicant will enjoy an attractive hourly rate circa $30 - $32 per hour (negotiable dependent upon experience), plus super, uniform and a company vehicle. In addition, you'll enjoy holiday and penalty rates to help increase your take-home pay! Relocation expenses will be reimbursed.
