About the Opportunity
Protocase is currently seeking an experienced CNC Machining Specialist to join our Production team in Sydney (Cape Breton), Nova Scotia.
As a primary resource on the CNC floor, you will help operators and programmers to optimize jobs, solve problems, and improve processes. Responsible for maintaining CNC machinery, you will also troubleshoot equipment problems and repair equipment (scheduled and emergency) with in-house and/or manufacturer support.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for, and in-depth knowledge of, CNC machining and machinery.
To qualify, you will have:
- A degree or diploma in CNC machining, mechanical technology, or a related discipline
- Extensive experience with CNC machining, including 3 and 5 axis milling and CNC turning with live tooling
- A strong desire to help build a skilled high-performance team and efficient processes
About the Benefits
In exchange for your hard work and dedication, the successful candidate will be rewarded with a total compensation package ranging from $43,000-$56,000, plus a variety of benefits, including:
- Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, Group Insurance Benefits, and Pension Plan (after six months)
- Two weeks’ annual vacation to start (three weeks’ at three years; four weeks’ at five years)
- Company Pension Plan (after six months)
- Regular social events, including go-karting, golf tournaments, and seasonal parties
