About the Opportunity

As Greater Bank embarks on an ambitious journey to challenge the banking status quo, they are seeking accomplished and equally ambitious people to join their team. As such, there is now an exciting opportunity for a Branch Manager to lead the Greater Bank branch at Robina on the Gold Coast.

This is a full-time, permanent position, Monday to Friday with alternate Saturday morning work also required. 

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Branch Manager is responsible for leading the branch and team to achieve commercial objectives, whilst maintaining a true customer-service focus that empowers the Greater Bank customer base.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Providing specialist lending services, ensuring the lending portfolio is closely managed and resulting in continued growth;
  • Managing and coaching direct reports, ensuring strong process and product knowledge and that staff are engaged and able to hit individual performance objectives;
  • Acting as the face of the Branch, proactively promoting Greater Bank and its services within the local community and establishing and maintaining professional relationships through various networking avenues.

About You

Let's start with the good news. You don't need to have worked in banking previously to be considered for this position!

Whilst previous banking or financial experience would definitely be a plus, the most important thing we are looking for is demonstrated leadership experience and a proven track record of delivering on performance targets. Our Robina branch are an energetic, enthusiastic, customer focussed team who are great at what they do and just need someone to lead the charge and give them guidance and support to inspire success.

Secondly, you will have proven commercial business acumen with the ability to guide the strategic direction and growth of the Branch, in conjunction with senior management. 

And the third critical thing we are looking for is someone who is a driving force for business development. You will have versatile networking skills, with a strong local network and the ability to build brand awareness for Greater Bank in the Gold Coast community.

This is an autonomous, yet well supported position that would be a fantastic opportunity for someone who is either working in banking currently and looking for a chance to make their mark, or someone from a Team Leader or management role in a customer-service focused organisation, looking to transition into the banking industry.
