About the Opportunity

The need has arisen for an Operations Manager to join Territory Packaging Ltd's team on a full-time basis.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this pivotal role will see you responsible for overseeing the coordination of the entire plant production program and maintenance activities of the production divisions, to ensure optimal outputs, plant maintenance, repairs and installations. Your overarching goal will be to facilitate efficient and cost effective manufacturing for the business.

More specifically, some of your key duties will include:

  • Directing the day to day production and maintenance teams to ensure efficient allocation and use of resources and company assets;
  • Coordinating manufacturing scheduling in order to conduct any planned or unplanned repair or maintenance to company assets;
  • Liaising with the management team and accounts personnel regarding all cost aspects of production and maintenance in line with set budgets;
  • Maintaining an efficient system of parts stock controls with particular regard for reordering, security, valuation and costing; and
  • Preparing detailed plans and reports relating to production and maintenance performance.

About You

Territory Packaging Ltd is seeking candidates with significant demonstrated experience in production/manufacturing management, ideally within the packaging or flexographic printing industry; knowledge of machinery maintenance, or an engineering/mechanical background, would be highly beneficial. In addition, any trade qualifications, or qualifications in printing, factory management, or a related discipline would also be highly regarded.

This is an exciting and challenging role that can be demanding at times. As such, Territory Packaging Ltd is looking for a dedicated individual who is self-motivated, extremely organised, able to multitask, and (most importantly) willing to go above and beyond to achieve success - for both yourself and the business!

The successful candidate will be an experienced and patient leader, with strong people management and communication skills. You will be professional in both your appearance and demeanour, understanding you represent Territory Packaging Ltd at all times. 

Importantly, it is essential you be culturally aware and able to work respectfully with internal and external stakeholders of all backgrounds. The ability to foster close working relationships with existing staff is required to maintain and update Raw Materials purchasing.
