About the Opportunity

Caringa now has an exciting executive leadership opportunity for a Chief Financial Officer to join their team on a full-time basis.

In this role, you will be primarily responsible for ensuring that the Company's financial decisions and initiatives to ensure long term financial growth and sustainability, while being responsible for Caringa's financial operations and management.

Some of your key duties will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Financial strategy and leadership, including risk assessment and management
  • Strategic management of all financial processes and reporting;
  • Operational supervision of all financial systems and processes;
  • Providing timely broad spectrum financial advice as requested;
  • Budget formulation and review;
  • Financial forecasting;
  • Ensuring compliance; and
  • Leading and mentoring.

What you need to succeed

To be considered for this position you will hold tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting or equivalent, a CPA membership and demonstrated experience in a similar executive-level role. Previous experience working within an NFP/disability/community sector organisation, will be highly regarded as will experience in formulating budgets for tender submissions.

A dynamic communicator and leader, you will be a collaborative team player, liaise well with internal and external stakeholders and will be confident in explaining complex financial processes and information to a lay audience. 

Importantly, Caringa is looking for a strategic thinker with high-level analytical problem-solving and critical evaluation skills with the flexibility and ability to develop financial management systems that will facilitate the operational efficiency and development of a growing NFP organisation.
