With huge opportunities for growth within the business, our client now has an exciting, full-time opportunity for a Manufacturing and Warehouse Manager to join their team based in Perth, WA.
Reporting to the WA General Manager, you will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day running of manufacturing and warehouse operations, ensuring the provision of high quality service beyond customer expectations, to develop and maintain long term relationships with our customers. You will maintain administrative integrity of all processes and set a high standard for inventory management and safety in the warehouse.
More specifically, some of your day to day duties will include (but will not be limited to):
- Assigning accountabilities for workflow including planning, monitoring and appraising job results;
- Overseeing the manufacturing and warehouse processes and ensuring a timetable for priorities;
- Managing stock control and reconciling with data storage system;
- Overseeing incident reporting and corrective and preventative action processes;
- Supervising all on-site staff including the management of staff resourcing activities such as performance management, onboarding and training as required; and
- Ensuring effective and regular communication is used to keep all employees informed of all issues that would affect them and the business.
To be considered for this position you will have previous experience in a similar role with demonstrated manufacturing operational knowledge, including how to undertake root cause analysis, mistake proofing and running production schedules. Anyone from an engineering and/or fabrication background with Sage ERP and preventative maintenance knowledge will be highly regarded.
Critically, our client is looking for a true people manager who will work with the General Manager to establish and enforce organisation standards and help develop a culture of continuous improvement and team engagement. You will have previous experience in people management and be available to provide on-the-ground advice and guidance to the team, including troubleshooting problems if and as they arise.
This role would be well-suited to an experienced manufacturing, warehouse or operations manager with impeccable attention to detail, who takes accountability for their work and knows what needs to be done to get results.
