About the Opportunity
JC Tanloden is now seeking an energetic Process Engineer to join their team in Epsom on a full-time basis.
This pivotal role will see you providing technical oversight and expertise relating to day-to-day production operation. You'll engage with Production Supervisors to troubleshoot issues, review processes and procedures, and identify and implement continuous improvement activities.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance;
- Working with supervisors to ensure efficient operation of the hay production process, thereby ensuring hay quality and variability is effectively managed through continual evaluation and proactive maintenance of processing machinery;
- Assisting in the completion of plant and process audits and reports;
- Providing technical support for process parameters during design and implementation of capital projects;
- Instigating and facilitating root cause analysis to investigate incidents relating to plant performance, safety and quality;
- Developing and maintaining existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) including the development, maintenance and training material delivery for Plant Operators;
- Overseeing maintenance tasks and supervising staff who are allocated to assist; and
- Providing support to process technology improvement initiatives to improve production quality and operational efficiency.
About You
The successful candidate will have strong electrical and control systems knowledge. Superior technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail will be key, coupled with the ability to think of the larger picture and be the driving force behind achieving a wider goal.
A background in agriculture and/or an understanding of the rural agricultural industry will be highly regarded, however is not essential if you possess sound manufacturing knowledge.
This is a hands-on position, with the majority of your time spent within the facility. As such, it's important you be willing to roll up your sleeves and help when needed. Any OHS knowledge will be highly regarded.
