Life in the fast lane

 

We are looking for our next role to join our Communications and Corporate Affairs team. Reporting to the Division Manager – Corporate Affairs and Communications, this role is responsible for leading the internal communications programs at AGPC as well as those with key stakeholders for the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix and Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix.

Additionally, you will:

  • Lead the development and implementation of AGPC’s internal communications strategy including:
    • Review of current internal communications activities ensuring they are aligned with best practice
    • Implementing new processes surrounding internal communications
    • Implement effective communications to AGPC full time staff and event time support staff
  • Compile information and develop award submissions for both events, and department specific topics
  • Develop and implement stakeholder communications strategies with a focus on local community initiatives and programs which align with the corporation’s goals and support the Victorian Government projects
  • Support copy development for various communications channels both internal and external to ensure consistent tone of voice
  • Track and measure the effectiveness of internal communications and change management initiatives, using data to refine strategies and improve outcomes.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience leading an internal communications function and developing an internal communications strategy
  • Appropriate territory qualification or relevant, equivalent professional experience in Corporate Affairs and Communications
  • Exceptional experience in leading and delivering best practice internal communications campaigns
  • Highly skilled in verbal and written communications
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate with and influence various stakeholders
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards, trends and best practice within the communications industry.
  • Demonstrated experience working with a varied range of internal and external stakeholders  
  • A current Police Check and Employee Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain)
