About You
We are looking for people who have:
- A genuine interest in improving health and social outcomes for Aboriginal communities.
- Relevant qualifications or experience suited to the type of work you’re seeking.
- The ability to work effectively in a diverse and fast-paced team environment.
- Strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
Ideally, you will also:
- Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and be recognised as such by your community.
- Demonstrate cultural competency, community connection and a commitment to self-determination.
- Have previous experience working in Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations or the not-for-profit sector.
- Be adaptable, proactive, and aligned with AHCWA’s mission and values.
Working at AHCWA means contributing to a culturally safe and respectful workplace. You will need to demonstrate an understanding of the issues impacting Aboriginal people and be able to communicate sensitively and effectively.
Please note: You may be required to hold a current WA “C” Class Driver’s Licence, provide a National Police Clearance (within 3 months), and Working with Children Check, depending on the role.
