The SEWB Pilot Project Coordinator coordinates and delivers on all operational aspects of the Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Pilot, ensuring contractual deliverables, data collection, reporting and stakeholder engagement requirements are met.

You will plan, implement, monitor and report on project activities while maintaining direct engagement with participating Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHS), government partners, and the SEWB evaluation team.

This role has become available to cover a period of parental leave.

This role will:

  • Coordinate and deliver day-to-day operational tasks associated with the SEWB Pilot, including correspondence, documentation, meeting coordination, and reporting;
  • Undertake stakeholder management, providing strategic advice and support to support the outcomes of the project;
  • Coordinate secretariat services to the program Governance Committees;
  • Promote the AHCWA SEWB Service Model;
  • Undertake relevant mapping exercises, identifying risks and developing processes to minimise these risks;
  • Work alongside evaluation teams to ensure fidelity of the SEWB model throughout the project;
  • Oversee coordination and provision of program-related documentation to the SEWB Pilot evaluation team; and
  • Monitor project performance, maintain accurate records, and prepare progress reports aligning with contract deliverables and timelines.

About You

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification, program management certification, or have experience in project or program management within Not-for-Profit, Community, and/or Health sectors;
  • Knowledge of evidence-based and culturally appropriate approaches to mental health, SEWB and AOD issues within Aboriginal communities;
  • Experience in data collection and report writing;
  • Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Understanding of the current trends and issues impacting the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal communities throughout WA;
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently; and
  • Ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Ideally, in addition to the above, we are looking for someone who:

  • Identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and is accepted as such by their community; and
  • Possesses a post-secondary qualification in a relevant field or has experience in a related role.

The position involves working within a multicultural organisation where the majority of employees, clients and stakeholders identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Please note: In addition to the above skills and experience, the successful candidate will require an unrestricted WA “C” Class Driver’s Licence, and be required to submit a National Police Clearance (dated within 3 months) prior to appointment.
