We're looking for a Receptionist to provide high quality, efficient and professional reception and administrative services for the organisation. This includes ensuring that all visitors and stakeholders are provided with a timely, polite and effective service when they first make contact with the organisation.
This role is central to maintaining a welcoming and well-organised office environment, while supporting day-to-day administrative, travel and operational functions across the organisation.

About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Demonstrable experience as a receptionist or similar administrative position;
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills – able to communicate in a culturally appropriate and professional manner with a diverse range of people at all levels including clients, external visitors, managers and staff;
- The ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality;
- The ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively within a team environment;
- Strong written communication skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy – able to draft correspondence, edit documents and write instructional information;
- Good time management skills with the ability to effectively plan, organise and coordinate own workload;
- Ability to work under general direction and manage own workload in accordance with established procedures. Experience in handling public enquiries;
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software packages, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; and
- A demonstrated ability to uphold the principles of cultural safety including an ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Ideally, in addition to the above, we are looking for someone who identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and is accepted as such by their community.
The position involves working within a multicultural organisation where the majority of employees, clients and stakeholders identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Please note: In addition to the above skills and experience, the successful candidate will require an unrestricted WA “C” Class Driver’s Licence, and be required to submit a National Police Clearance (dated within 3 months) prior to appointment.
