Gladstone Ports Corporation (GPC) is currently seeking motivated and safety-conscious Production Operators – Building Services to join our Asset Management team. With a strong focus on operational excellence, safety, and community, GPC plays a vital role in Queensland’s economic development.

About the Role

As a Production Operator – Building Services, you will be responsible for supporting the efficient operation of plant and equipment by carrying out planned maintenance and general operational tasks across GPC sites. You’ll work closely with the Building Services Superintendent to deliver high-quality results safely and on time. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong commitment to workplace safety, environmental responsibility, and team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake scheduled and reactive maintenance work safely and efficiently
  • Operate machinery and equipment in line with known methods and procedures
  • Prioritise and complete tasks within established timeframes
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors
  • Ensure the effective use of resources
  • Identify and report hazards, supporting a culture of continuous safety improvement
  • Uphold GPC’s values and Code of Conduct

Mandatory Requirements:

  • White Card (Construction Card)
  • HR Truck Licence
  • Non-Slew Crane Ticket (HRWL)
  • Dogman Certification (HRWL)
  • Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) – or ability to obtain

Desirable:

  • Backhoe, JLG, Forklift, or Excavator licences
  • Previous experience in concreting, basic formwork, or pipe maintenance
  • Understanding of WHS legislation
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
