Groups Coordinator
Reporting to the Revenue & Reservations Manager, we have an full-time opportunity for an experienced Groups Coordinator to join our busy team. You’ll be in charge of providing end-to-end service for accommodation and restaurant groups. With a talent for creating world-class experiences, you’ll play a pivotal role in planning, communicating, and reporting on all aspects of group bookings to exceed customers' expectations and maximise revenue.
What you'll be doing
- Coordinate and package group reservations for accommodation, restaurant dining and event day bookings.
- Provide exceptional service to ensure the Oval Hotel is best placed to deliver on its financial return and market reputation.
- Accurately process group reservations and payments, including amendments and confirmations.
- Cross-sell all services and outlets of Oval Hotel & Adelaide Oval, including room upgrades, restaurant bookings and event tickets.
- Communicate with various stakeholders to maximise potential revenue and guest experiences.
What you'll bring to the role
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or industry experience in hotel reservations.
- A group service focus with the capacity to handle group reservations, including managing enquiries, follow-through, and advance deposits.
- Strong understanding of hotel selling status, rates, package plans, room types, credit and cancellation policies.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and maintain a calm attitude under pressure.
- Strong technical skills – ability to navigate various systems and manipulate data for reporting purposes.
- Outstanding communication and polished customer service skills.
- Passion and drive to go above and beyond.
