The Adelaide Oval Stadium Management Authority (AOSMA) is the organisation responsible for the management of the Adelaide Oval precinct and is a joint venture between football (South Australian National Football League) and cricket (South Australian Cricket Association). The Adelaide Oval is a world-class, multi-purpose 53,000 seat stadium. It is Adelaide’s number one tourism destination, having attracted over 1.8 million visitors a year and is a significant contributor to the State’s tourism assets with the award winning RoofClimb and Stadium tours, as well as Australia’s first ever integrated stadium hotel – Oval Hotel.

Key Account Manager

This is a dynamic role where you'll be responsible for the sales conversion of business to the Adelaide Oval Functions and Events team. You'll be charged with project managing a portfolio of external stakeholders with the goal of generating revenue to AOSMA and delivering against key sales strategies.

You'll draw on your experience in a similar account management role to hit the ground running. With a talent for creating world-class experiences you’ll be charged with the planning, execution, problem solving and reporting of your events - all with a confident smile and can do attitude. You will also cast a lens over the business plan and look to innovate new business opportunities that build on our strategy and future success.

What you'll be doing

  • Project manage a portfolio of external stakeholders to meet strategy and budget targets.
  • Manage a range of events from start to finish, ensuring the fine details are covered and customers expectations are exceeded.
  • Provide exceptional service to ensure Adelaide Oval is best placed to deliver on its financial return and market reputation.
  • Communicate with various stakeholders internally and externally to maximize potential revenue and experiences.
  • Implement and maintain systems relevant to the sales function at Adelaide Oval Function and Events.

What you'll bring to the role

  • A strong network of corporate contacts and solid experience in cold calling, developing and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Understanding of multi-function food and beverage operations in a corporate hospitality environment.
  • Significant experience in a similar role supported by tertiary qualifications in Sales, Marketing or Business
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and maintain a calm attitude under pressure.
  • Strong technical skills – ability to navigate various systems and manipulate data for reporting purposes.
  • Outstanding communication and problem solving skills and the ability to relate to a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Passion and drive to go above and beyond.
