We're on the lookout for an energetic full-time RoofClimb Operations Coordinator to join our crew. This is a front-line leadership opportunity where you’ll supervise and train our talented RoofClimb team, coordinate operational safety and compliance requirements and contribute to the future strategy of the RoofClimb experience.
Working closely with our Operations Manager, this is a hands-on role to really take your career to new heights. Success will be defined by your ability to collaborate, lead by example and be laser-focused on WHS and compliance deliverables.
What you'll be doing
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of RoofClimb, ensuring safe and seamless functionality and performance.
- Support our crew of RoofClimb Leaders to deliver unforgettable experiences and yes, wear the suit yourself regularly to take climbs.
- Oversee maintenance of equipment and adherence to WHS standards, ensuring the safety of both our team and participants.
- Conduct regular WHS and compliance audits and reports ensuring optimal performance.
- Work with the Operations Manager to shape the RoofClimb team culture, fostering a spirit of innovation, pride, collaboration and fun.
- Assist in recruitment, onboarding and training of RoofClimb Leaders and actively support them to best they can be.
- Develop and implement operational SOPs that align with WHS and compliance requirements.

But wait, there’s more!
Each RoofClimb experience takes approximately 2 hours to complete with a total duration on the roof of 90-110 minutes. We may require our RoofClimb Leaders to complete up to 3x RoofClimbs in a day which means the role has some special requirements:
- You must be physically able to wear a harness and carry equipment weighing up to 9kg whilst completing the RoofClimb unassisted.
- You will be required to clearly project your voice and provide commentary to your groups throughout the experience in a controlled and engaging manner.
- You will need to be coordinated – not quite a gymnast, but you will need to bend, squat, carry, lift, stoop and stand in stationary positions on grated steel for prolonged periods.
- You must be able to cope with moderate physical exertion at heights up to 50 metres for periods up to 60 minutes including outdoor walking and climbing along industrial style walkways, ladders, stairs and steps. No gym needed today!
There are also physical restrictions our RoofClimb Leaders (and all our RoofClimbers) must adhere to for safety:
- Minimum height – 120cm
- Minimum weight – 45kg
- Maximum weight – 136kg

Applications
Please note that out of hours work will be a requirement of this role, in line with the business operations of Adelaide Oval. This includes weekend work and working on Major Event Days at Adelaide Oval or the surrounding associated venues.
Applicants will be required to hold or successfully obtain a Working with Children’s Check prior to commencing. You will also need to obtain qualifications in Provide First Aid and Work Safety at Heights as part of your onboarding.
