Indigenous Business Administration Traineeship-Melbourne

APlus Apprentice + Trainee Services are seeking an individual to train as an Indigenous Business Administration Trainee located in Melbourne for a government department.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a vibrant individual to build a successful career within the Business Administration Industry. To be successful in this role candidates must possess exemplary Customer Service and Communication Skills.

Our trainee will perform a range of administrative duties,The successful candidate will work full time for 12 months whilst completing a nationally recognised qualification.

Responsibilities:

  1. Putting together and updating contact lists and databases
  2. Setting up events for projects ( agendas, calendar invites, venue/room bookings and also catering)
  3. Answering Phones and enquiries
  4. Attend meetings to create an understanding of what they do and take minutes
  5. Administration tasks such as photocopying, scanning and filing
  6. Liaising with people at all levels both within and outside of the department


Skills and Experience:

  1. Excellent communication skills
  2. A willingness to learn new things
  3. Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  4. Outstanding organisational skills
  5. Have an eye for detail
  6. Good problem solving skills
  7. Aboriginal or Torres strait Islander
