Integration Aide Traineeship - Laverton Location

APlus Apprentice + Trainee Services are seeking an individual to train as an Integration Aide with a Special Developmental School located in Laverton. Our trainee will assist teaching staff, and provide care and supervision for students. The successful candidate will work 5 days per week for 12 month,s whilst completing a nationally recognised qualification, which is delivered during the school holidays.

Responsibilities:

Assist primary school students with their language and literacy
Assist in supporting children with intellectual, physical and behavioural difficulties with their academic studies
Assist children individually to learn social skills
Assist on school excursions and sporting events
Assist with the preparation of teaching aids, copying and collating written or printed material
Distribute and collect lesson material

Skills and Experience:

Good communication skills
Patient in dealing with people
Mature and sensible
Enjoy helping children learn
Able to work as part of a team
Able to accept direction and supervision

Requirements:

Working with Children check (or be prepared to process one)
