About the role

Located in Palmerston, Terrace Gardens is an 88-bed residential aged care home with a welcoming feel with a peaceful atmosphere. At Terrace Gardens, we recognise the importance of family and community connections and we actively support cultural customs, beliefs and practices and incorporate those into our care for residents, in accordance with industry best practice.

We now have a Full-Time opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Terrace Gardens.

In this role you will provide leadership, support, and guidance to other care staff in the provision of quality care, based on resident needs that enhance and promotes quality of life and ensure that care is consistent with the mission of ARRCS and current best practice.

 

Skills and experience

  • Proof of full working rights in Australia
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Bachelor of Nursing
  • Post Graduate qualifications in relevant nursing discipline, highly regarded
  • Ability to liaise with a care team and to provide coordinated care
  • Knowledge of contemporary nursing practice
  • Demonstrated understanding of resident centred and residential based care services delivery
  • Knowledge and experience in Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI), desired
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary and multi-cultural care team in a range of settings
  • Knowledge of policy review and implementation for clinical governance
  • Experienced in effective interpersonal and written communication skills, including intermediate computer skills as well as skills in automated technology
  • Must have a current National Police Check, First Aid Certificate, OCHRE card and NT Drivers’ License or a willingness to obtain prior to commencing
