Autism SA is a leading provider of services to individuals and families living with Autism Spectrum Disorder in Australia and is seeking to employ ASD Facilitators as a part of the Specialised Support Services department.
This position is required to work within a multi-disciplinary framework to provide direct support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a variety of environments.
Specifically, the role is responsible and accountable for providing strategic interventions in consultation with ASD Consultants and Allied Health Professionals.
The Facilitator is also responsible to:
- Develop goals for individuals for the allocated support timeframe
- Liaise and work alongside other Autism SA staff
- Meet targeted support hours and maintain accurate statistical data
- Provide written reports including achievement of goals and recommendations
- Maintain accurate client records and client progress notes
- Provide ASD Facilitator services in Greater Adelaide and Outreach regions as required
To be successful you will need to have:
Essential:
- Practical Experience working with school age students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Evidence of ongoing Professional Development in the area of Autism Spectrum Disorder
Desirable:
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team
The position is full time and a 12 month fixed term contract with the possibility of extension.
The role will be based in Netley providing services to metropolitan regions within Adelaide.
