Aveo Live Well, Australia’s leading retirement village owner/operator is seeking a part time Domestic Attendant at our Aveo Durack, Durack QLD.
About the role
The Domestic Attendant will be required to provide a high quality cleaning service in residents units and community areas including cleaning floors, bathroom and kitchen areas, removal of rubbish and general housekeeping duties.
You will be responsible for promoting a team approach to housekeeping standards and identify any service difficulties across the team and suggest recommendations to the Housekeeping Manager for possible resolution.
You will ensure resident’s safety, security, dignity, privacy and well-being at all times, actively contribute to the promotion of best practice in OH &S and continuous quality improvement, and promote the culture and philosophies of Aveo Live Well.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Demonstrated knowledge of all aspects of cleaning and laundry service provision
- Experience working in an aged care or retirement village environment will be highly regarded
- Demonstrated interpersonal
- Well-developed interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to work within OH&S and a continuous improvement environment
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritise
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work within a multi-tasking, multi-skilled work environment
- Trustworthy, pleasant and outgoing demeanour
- Reliable, flexible approach to rostering
