Aveo Live Well, Australia’s leading retirement village owner/operator is seeking a part time Personal Care Attendant at Aveo - The Domain Country Club About the role:
The Personal Care Attendant will be required to assist the Village Manager in the provision of quality care services to residents within the village including emergency call-outs in the village in a professional efficient manner and demonstrate an empathetic attitude to the needs of residents. You will be responsible for assessing each residents needs, interests and abilities and consult with them or their carers/relatives to provide an individualised recreational plan.
You will ensure resident’s safety, security, dignity, privacy and well being at all times, actively contribute to the promotion of best practice in OH &S and continuous quality improvement, and promote the culture and philosophies of Aveo Live Well.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Certificate 3 in Aged/Community Care preferred
- Current Senior First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Police Check clearance
- Experience working in aged care
- Available to work day and night (sleepover) shifts
- Well developed interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work alone
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to work within OH&S and a continuous improvement environment
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritise
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work within a multi-tasking, multi-skilled work environment
- Trustworthy, pleasant and outgoing demeanour
