Aveo Live Well, Australia’s leading retirement village owner/operator is seeking an experienced, motivated and pro-active Care Manager for the Aveo Mingarra Hostel in Croydon, VIC.
About the role:
We are looking for an experienced, qualified RN with strong management skills in aged care. You will have hands-on experience in managing a high care facility including communicating effectively with residents and their families, leading a varied team, gaining and maintaining accreditation, ACFI management and financial control, quality improvement, managing risk and compliance.
A key challenge for the role is managing resources to ensure the facility achieves financial targets, regularly improves its service delivery against indicators whilst maintaining compliance with Living Longer Better Reforms, company policies and procedures and Government-sponsored accreditation.
You will also have the passion and drive to provide high standards of residential care, lifestyle programs and customer service.
You will be part of a management team led by the National Quality Manager whose task is the continuing development and improvement of the services, systems and compliance of Aveo’s aged care facilities.
Minimum role requirement:
To be considered for this role you will have:
- Degree in Nursing;
- Post graduate qualifications in Aged Care highly regarded;
- Demonstrated experience in management of a high care Residential Aged Care Facility;
- Proven experience in financial, quality improvement, risk and compliance management;
- High level written and verbal communication and negotiation skills;
- Demonstrated success in achieving accreditation;
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the Living Longer Living better reforms for residential care;
- Budget development and management;
- Intermediate to Advanced user of the Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Strong focus on results and customer satisfaction.
