About The Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Financial Accountant to join the Aegis Group at our Central Office located in Burswood. This role would ideally suit an individual who is seeking personal growth and development in a vitally important community focused organisation.

This position will initially be for a period of 6 months with a possibility of becoming permanent.  

Reporting to the Executive Manager Finance, your duties will include:  

 

  • Assist with the preparation of regulatory reporting requirements, including the Aged Care Financial Reporting and Quarterly Financial Reporting.
  • Assist with compilation of information for Grant Applications
  • Assist with completion of annual audited GPFR
  • Completion of Australian Bureau of Statistics Surveys
  • Assisting with the preparation of the Budget for the Group
  • Collect and analyse data, which is required for regulatory reporting
  • Perform general ledger reconciliations
  • Respond to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data
  • Updating of financial data in databases to ensure that information is accurate and available when required.
  • Generating reports from Rostering and Financial systems
  • Conducting User acceptance testing during system upgrades
  • Ad-hoc reporting and analysis
  • Assist with other accounting projects

Essential requirements:

  • Previous experience of at least 1-2 years in a similar role and experience with accounting software (Epicor preferred but not essential)
  • CA / CPA Qualifications or willingness to undertake CPA Qualification will be viewed favourably
  • Must be able to work full time within a team and autonomously
  • A friendly, positive, and professional approach
  • Advanced skills across Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and excellent written and verbal communication
  • Aged Care Experience desirable
