About the role 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-driven individual to join the team as our Manager Finance.  

As the Manager Finance, you will be supporting our Executive Manager Finance in managing the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department.

Reporting to the Executive Manager Finance, you will be responsible for:

 

  • Providing leadership, coaching, direction and support to the Payroll, Billings and Accounts teams, to ensure accurate and timely delivery of high-quality services.
  • Assisting the Executive Manager Finance with team management and day to day running of the Payroll and Billing Team. 
  • Ensuring all staff resources are allocated appropriately to achieve the required outcomes and services to a high level of accuracy and timeliness.
  • Guidance of new staff members ensuring all training, coaching and guidance is provided in terms of Aegis high standards.
  • Assisting Executive Manager Finance achieving continuous improvement in enhancing the budget and financial reporting functions.
  • Assisting with the management of the working capital components of the Group with specific attention to debtors and cash flows.
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual, quarterly and ad-hoc aged care reporting requirements.
  • Preparation of grant applications.
  • Assisting with the preparation of the Budget
  • Co-ordinating System upgrades, changes, and testing.

Profile 

We are looking for a professionally qualified and experienced Accountant with a service-based ethos, excellent communication skills, and a strong sense of company loyalty who is seeking ongoing personal development and growth.

We welcome applications from suitably experienced candidates who can demonstrate key skills including: 

  •  CA or CPA Qualification with minimum 5 years’ experience.
  • Sound technical skills including requisite financial reporting, interpretation and compliance. 
  • Strong written & verbal communications skills
  •  Proven excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong Customer Service ethos.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and operate in an effective organised manner.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Statutory accounting and taxation experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft suite skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong attention to detail, time management and organisational skills.
  • Experience with Prophix and Epicor reporting and accounting systems is advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience within the Aged Care sector desirable 
  • Willingness to work in a hands-on manner.
  • Demonstrated experience managing transactional teams.
