Plumber (Barcaldine, Aramac)

We are looking for an experienced Plumber to join Barcaldine Regional Council to help us grow as a community within the Barcaldine or Aramac region.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and analyst blueprints to understand the plumbing and water system layout. 
  • Install and assemble the pipes and tubes without interfering with existing infrastructure.
  • Ability to repair, replace, troubleshoot and/or maintain things such as Drainage/Roofing, gas fitting, ductwork fixing etc).
  • Ensure current regulations affecting plumbing is maintained.

Location - Based in Barcaldine or Aramac region, travel will be required with this position.

Classification Level - To be negotiated with successful applicant. 

Wage - To be negotiated with successful applicant.  

Hours of work - 76 hours over 9 days with a rostered day off (RDO) every fortnight. 

Leave entitlements - Five (5) weeks annual leave per annum and Fifteen (15) days Personal Leave (sick leave) per annum.

Qualifications required to be successful 

  • Qualified licensed plumber with 2+ years post apprenticeship experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong knowledge in plumbing systems, materials, troubleshooting and analytical skills. 
  • Understanding state regulations affecting plumbing.
  • Can do attitude.
