About the Role: 

Passionate about health and safety and looking for a role where you can really make an impact? 

We are on the lookout for a Safety Systems Advisor to drive the continuous improvement of our safety systems, and ensure compliance with the latest standards!

This is a full-time position for a fixed term of twelve (12) months.

If you enjoy developing innovative WHS systems and working collaboratively to create safer work environments, this is the perfect role for you!

 

What you'll be up to:

  • Develop and improve our Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) systems. You'll create WHS plans, Risk Management strategies, Training plans and more! 
  • Design health check and audit programs to keep us compliant with legislation and best practices.
  • Work closely with field staff, management, and the WHS coordinator to ensure safety measures are practical and effective across the board.
  • Assist in implementing safety initiatives that reduce risk and boost safety performance in the field.

What You'll Need: 

  • Diploma or higher in Work Health and Safety (WHS) or related field;
  • Current QLD Class 'C' Drivers Licence;
  • Current Construction Card (White/Blue Card);
  • Proven experience developing WHS systems (WHS, Risk Management, Training, Environmental);
  • Strong skills in writing clear, compliant policies and procedures;
  • In-depth knowledge of WHS legislation and best practices;
  • Ability to collaborate with both field and office staff to create practical safety solutions;
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills for handling multiple projects;
  • Exceptional communication skills to convey complex safety information simply and clearly;
  • Familiarity with environmental management and local government (desirable but not essential).
