About the Role: 

Are you a skilled truck driver with a current QLD Class 'HC' Driver Licence? Do you take pride in delivering materials that keep road construction projects moving smoothly? If you're ready to hit the road and make a real impact, then Barcaldine Regional Council has the perfect role for you!

We are searching for a Plant Operator (Truck Driver HC) to join the team in Aramac! 

You will:

Deliver the Goods: Transport essential materials and equipment to our road construction sites across the region.

Keep Safety First: Operate your machine like a pro, following all safety guidelines.

Be a Team Player: Work alongside a dedicated crew to get the job done right.

Location: This position is based in Aramac with Regional work and travel as required.

Classification Level: Level 6 of the Queensland Local Government Industry (Stream B) Award – State 2017 and the Barcaldine Regional Council Certified Agreement 2022. 

Wage: Minimum base salary of $72,049.12 per annum + Superannuation (up to 12%) and relevant approved allowances.

Payment of Wages: Council employees are paid fortnightly.

Hours of work: 76 hours over 9 days with a rostered day off (RDO) every fortnight.

Leave: Five (5) weeks annual leave per annum + 17.5% loading. Fifteen (15) days Personal Leave (sick leave) per annum.

What You'll Need: 

• Minimum QLD Class 'HC' Drivers Licence;
• Current Construction Card (White/Blue Card);
• Minimum 2 years' experience operating plant of a 'HC' licence class level;
• Traffic Controller Licence (desirable);
• Traffic Management Implementation Qualification (desirable);
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
