Position Status: Permanent Full-time
Hours of Work: 38 hours per week with an RDO every three weeks

About the Opportunity
Join Bathurst Regional Council’s Water & Waste Section as a Truck Driver/ Labourer.
In this role you will be required to transport biosolids from the Wastewater Treatment Works to the designated disposal area. Other duties will include general maintenance and labouring based at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
We’re looking for a reliable labourer with the following skills and qualifications:
- HR Licence: Must have a valid NSW Class HR licence (Heavy Rigid) to drive trucks over 10,000kg GVM.
- White Card: Required for construction site access.
- Mechanical Knowledge: Basic understanding of truck maintenance.
- Swimming Competency: Ability to swim proficiently.
- Small Plant Operation: Experience with small plant equipment.
- Team Player: Able to work effectively in a small, diverse team.
- Physical Stamina: Capable of meeting the physical demands of labor-intensive tasks.
- Administrative Skills: Ability to complete associated administrative duties.
- Health Compliance: Willingness to be vaccinated for Hepatitis A and B, with follow-up tests to confirm immunity
As part of the recruitment process, you will be required to undertake a tour of the Wastewater Treatment Works. This will occur at the interview stage.
