About the role
Are you a people-person with a flair for events, a head for business, and a passion for creating memorable experiences? Bathurst Regional Council is looking for a dynamic and motivated Business Services Coordinator to join the team at the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre (BMEC).
In this exciting role, you’ll be the main point of contact for all venue hire clients building strong relationships, understanding their needs, guiding them through the booking and contracting process, and ensuring every event runs smoothly from start to finish. We're looking for someone who can spot new business opportunities, develop strategies to enhance the customer experience, and grow venue hire bookings to support BMEC’s continued success.

Key Requirements
- Diploma in Business Management or equivalent experience
- Experience in function or event coordination
- Excellent Customer service skills communication skills
- Ability to think and plan strategically
- Computer literacy particularly in Word and Excel, plus able to pick up new systems and software, ideally with booking, event management and finance software
- Marketing / Sales experience.
- Current Senior First Aid certification

This position requires a pre employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug & alcohol screen.
Salary: $1,453.41 to $1,526.99 per week + super
Position Status: Permanent full time
Hours of work: 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday (some out of hours work including evenings and weekends may be required).
