Casual Visitor Experience Supervisor

Job No: BATC59
Location: Bathurst

About the role

Do you enjoy being at the centre of live events and helping create spaces where people feel welcome, safe, and well looked after? Are you someone who notices the small details that turn a good visit into a great one?

Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre (BMEC) is looking for Visitor Experience Supervisors to support the delivery of front-of-house and hospitality operations at one of regional Australia’s busiest and most loved venues.

From live shows, concerts and films to workshops, conferences, meetings and rehearsals, BMEC is always buzzing. This role sits right at the heart of event delivery and plays a key part in how patrons, hirers, and touring companies experience the venue on the day.

Visitor Experience Supervisors manage events at a shift level, leading Casual Visitor Experience Team Members and supervising our volunteer ushers during performances to ensure service is friendly, calm and professional. Working from event briefs prepared by the Visitor Experience Coordinator, they support and oversee bar operations, ensure that any events involving food comply with food safety requirements, and monitor service standards throughout the event. They act as the key point of contact from a hospitality perspective during each event, helping ensure functions run smoothly from doors open through to pack down while maintaining safety, compliance and a high-quality customer experience.

This role focuses on the delivery of venue hire events with most events taking place in the evenings and on weekends, with some events mid-week making this role ideal for someone seeking flexible, ad hoc work that fits around other commitments. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys live theatre or events, values teamwork, and wants to play an important part in delivering outstanding experiences for our community.
