About the role
Bathurst Regional Council is currently seeking a Waste Collection Officer to join the Waste Management Centre Team.
The Waste Collection Officer's main purpose is to drive and operate a waste collection vehicle, collecting waste from households in Bathurst, consistent with applicable statutes, regulations and council policies. The position will also be required to undertake duties relevant to the role within the Waste Management Centre as directed.
This position will report directly to the Waste Collection Team Leader.

Essential Criteria
- HR Driver's Licence
- Demonstrated basic mechanical and maintenance knowledge
- Proven experience in operating tipping trucks
- Proven experience in the operation of lifting equipment
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook
- A strong commitment to quality customer service with a culture of continuous improvement.

Salary: $1,075.30 per week + 12% superannuation
Position Status: Permanent – Full-time
Hours of work: 38 hours per week - RDO every three weeks
