About the Role

The Community Compliance team is excited to be heading in to 2021 with a renewed focus and passion for delivering our services and responsibilities to our developing community in a customer service focused manner.

As the Administration Support Officer, you will undertake a pivotal role within the Community Compliance team by delivering exceptional customer service, providing administrative support, and assisting with various workplace projects to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of Council’s compliance functions.

Key responsibilities of this role include:
• Completing general correspondence, responding to requests for information, data entry, scanning of documents and filing
• Providing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers. This will involve attending to customer enquiries over the phone and in person
• Development of documents for workshops, meetings, newsletters, and other forms of promotion including online
• Maintaining business records such as meeting agendas and minutes, relevant documentation, and correspondence in accordance with Councils information management policies
• Ensuring that queries or complaints are followed up in accordance with Council’s Customer Service Charter

This position is currently based in Drouin.

 

About the Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will be customer service focused and will help to educate and advise our community, to achieve an increased level of compliance with various Acts, Regulations, Local Laws and policies.

  • You have excellent communication skills
  • You hold a Certificate III in Business (Administration) or equivalent
  • You have experience in an office environment, preferably in local government or a relevant government regulatory agency
  • You have well developed computer skills, in particular, with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • You thrive in a team environment with a positive culture, where all team members proactively support each other
