About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Parking Enforcement Officer to join our Community Compliance team. As our new Parking Officer you will make a difference daily by providing effective and efficient Parking Enforcement duties within the municipality to create and maintain an environment that preserves and enhances public health and safety.
• Enforce the provisions of the Road Safety Act and Regulations, the Local Government Act, Local Laws and other relevant legislation.
• Manage time and work activities effectively under limited supervision.
• Patrolling assigned areas on foot or by motor vehicle
• Issuing parking infringement notices on behalf of the Council
• Record and maintain clear records of enforcement matters
• Responding to and investigating parking related complaints.
• Providing exceptional customer service to the general public
About the Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will be customer service focused, provide sound decision making and high-level communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
Does this sound like you:
• Strong face-to-face customer service experience
• Flexible availability to work a six day rotating roster between 7:00am - 8:00pm Monday to Saturday including evenings, weekends and public holiday shifts
• Excellent organisation and time management skills to patrol designated areas
• Strong written skills to create accurate reports to be used as enforcement evidence
• Strong observation skills to make sound enforcement decisions, assess safety risk and to interpret parking regulations
• Australian Drivers Licence
