About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Services Officer to join the Financial Services team at Baw Baw Shire Council.

As an experienced and dedicated professional, you will provide support to the Financial Services team. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including performing data entry, processing payments, reconciling ledger control accounts, undertaking general accounting duties.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service, the ability to problem solve and will have impeccable integrity and professionalism.

This position is currently based in Warragul.

 

About the Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability create strong working relationships within the organisation.

A key requirement is strong technical knowledge in order to maintain Council’s financial asset registers in accordance with Accounting Standards, Local Government Regulations and Council’s policies and guidelines.

The Finance team are seeking a team member who is driven to provide solutions and improve outcomes within our supportive team environment.
