About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a HR professional looking to expand on their experience and skills in a supportive environment, surrounded by an innovative and committed team. There is plenty of scope in the team and this role to gain exposure to a broad range of people initiatives. 
As a People and Culture Generalist, you will contribute to and support people initiatives that underpin Councils Employee Value Proposition. Council is embarking on a transformation journey; this position will play a crucial role in supporting our business. In this you can expect to be;
•    Assisting in the coordination of all aspects of the employee lifecycle including recruitment, induction, supported work, performance management and cessation.
•    Ensuring a quality customer experience, working with the Business partners and broader organisation on all elements of the employee lifecycle. You will be an advocate for standards of service and customer needs.   
•    Proactively contribute to and support the continuous improvement initiatives of the business partnering unit and broader team.  
•    Partner with all levels of leadership to build effective relationships and provide fundamental policy and legislative advice as required.
•    Participate in organisation development initiatives including Employee Consultative Committee, support, Health and Wellbeing programs and Capability alignment.

•    Experience in Human Resources or a similar function
•    Experience in recruitment, and or project management is desirable
•    Experience operating within legislative context
