About the Role

As a Digital Communications Advisor at Baw Baw Shire Council, you will lead the charge in crafting dynamic digital communications that captivate and engage our community across a variety of platforms. In this role, you oversee Council’s web and social media presence, harnessing cutting-edge technologies, including video production and drone photography, to tell compelling stories and showcase the unique attributes of our shire. You'll collaborate with a creative team to enhance the online service experience, design accessible and innovative content, and dynamically manage our expanding social media footprint. Get ready to bring your digital expertise to the forefront, influencing stakeholder engagement and community interaction in transformative ways.

About the Successful Candidate

We are looking for someone with:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and a minimum of two years' experience in a similar role.
  • High-level skills in Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro for video production, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong experience with web content management systems, social media platforms, content creation and advertising.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across multiple digital platforms.
  • A commitment to enhancing community engagement through innovative digital strategies.
  • Experience with Engagement HQ/Bang the Table a plus.
