• Band 8: Ranges between $120,040 to $134,514 per annum plus 11.5% super and fully maintained commuter use vehicle.
• Permanent full-time position with monthly RDO based at our Drouin Council office.
• A critical role leading the Community Compliance team in delivering programs that protect municipal amenity and encourage a safe and harmonious environment for the community and visitors.

About the Role
We are seeking a proven leader to lead the Community Compliance Team in delivering the Shire’s Local Laws, Parking Compliance, Animal Management, School Crossing Supervision and Animal Pound programs. Providing mentoring, guidance and oversight of the operations, as well as expert advice on compliance matters are key aspects of the role.
About the Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will have:
• A degree or Diploma in Compliance, Local Government or Public Sector Management with extensive experience in a senior role in a local government regulatory environment.
• A thorough knowledge of local government regulatory and statutory requirements, investigation, resolution and enforcement processes.
• Experience in supervision and leadership of staff with demonstrated people management skills.
• Highly developed influencing and coaching skills.
• Experience in improving work processes and developing policies and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Astute political judgement.
