An exciting opportunity exists to join Baw Baw Shire’s Infrastructure Delivery and Major Projects team in the role of Business Support Officer through to 30 June 2025. We are seeking an individual who can provide key business support and administrative services to a diverse and high-performing Team that makes a significant contribution to the community through delivering exciting capital projects.

About the Role

This role is critical to the successful ongoing function of the entire team through providing key administrative support activities including some of the following elements:
-    Provide project support services on Council’s Capital Works Program, inclusive of reporting and analysis, preparation of presentations;
-    Provide administrative support to Manager Infrastructure Delivery & Major Projects including organising meetings, room bookings and minute taking;
-    Assisting with the Teams governance procedures including collation of council reports and Notice to List processes, ensuring agreed reporting and approval timelines are met;
-    Monitoring and allocation of customer requests and workflow activities, the distribution of incoming customer requests; and
-    Actively participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of processes and systems.

 

About the Successful Candidate

Our ideal candidate will bring:
-    A degree in Business Administration, or a related field, combined with hands-on experience;
-    Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills;
-    An ability to prioritise workload within a busy environment and conflicting priorities and the ability to work effectively in a team environment;
-    Well-developed computer skills - particularly, Microsoft Word and Excel;
-    An ability to accurately research and compile data and communications;
-    Attention to detail and accurate work output; and,
-    A current driver’s licence valid in Victoria.
